LaGuardia International Airport (LGA)
Originally named the Glenn H Curtiss airport, it was renamed LaGuardia in 1953 after the Mayor of New York Fiorello La Guardia. This airport is the third busiest in New York. With short runways that are surrounded by water, pilots refer to it as the USS LaGuardia. Revamping of the entire airport is currently being done and scheduled for 2022 completion.
